Dan Sileo, '82
Defensive Tackle
Drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1987, 3rd round out
of the University of Miami.
Spent one season with the Bucs before moving on to the Orlando
Thunder of the World League and the Las Vegas Sting of the Arena
League.
Sileo transferred to the University of Miami in 1985 after
a year at the University of Cincinnati and a year at the University
of Maryland. He was a key component of Maimi's 1987 undefeated
National Championship team.
Sileo was an Al-State player for Catholic.
Tony Brown, '82
Offensive Tackle
Signed by the Buffalo Bills in 1987, out of the University
of Pittsburgh.
Played one season for the Bills in 1987.
Brown was a three-year letterman for the Pitt Panthers from
1983-85.
He was an All-State player for the Crusaders.
Dave Puzzuoli, '79
Defensive Tackle
Drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 1983, 6th round out of the
University of Pittsburgh.
Recorded 15.5 sacks during a five-year career with the Browns.
Puzzuoli was the only thorn in John Elway's famous
game-winning drive in the 1986 AFC Championship
Game. Puzzuoli sacked Elway for an eight-yard loss
nine plays into "The Drive."
Puzzuoli also played with Dan Marino on the great Pitt teams
of the early '80s, including three 11-1 teams and the 1980 and
81 teams that finished second and fourth in the nation, respectively.
He was a two-time All-State player for the Crusaders.
Dick Swatland, '64
Offensive Guard
Drafted by the Houston Oilers in 1968, 8th round out
of the University of Notre Dame.
An All-American Guard out of Notre Dame, Swatland
played one season for the Houston Oilers in 1968.
At Notre Dame he was a two-year starter at right guard for
the Irish and Head Coach Ara Parseghian. He started for the
National Championship team of 1966 that finished 9-0-1.
He was an All-State player for the Crusaders.
Bo Hickey, '63
Running Back
Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1967, 14th round out
of the University of Maryland.
Played one year for the Denver Broncos. Had 73 rushes for 263
yards and 4 touchdowns, plus 7 receptions for 36 yards and another
touchdown.
Hickey led the Maryland Terrapins with 894 rushing yards as
a sophomore in 1964.
He was an All-State player for Catholic.
