November 25, 2008Out-Foxedfrom The Stamford Times Wins Over: Westhill (LL-4w,0t), Fairfield Ludlowe
(MM-3w,0t), Harding (L-0w,0t), Fairfield Warde (MM-3w,0t), Brien McMahon
(L-3w,0t), Bassick (L-1w,0t) As years go, Trinity Catholic coach Bryan Fox may have produced one of his best if mostly unnoticed coaching jobs. The Crusaders are 6-4 with a game against Wilton on Turkey day still to be played, but Fox has Trinity Catholic rated sixth in Class S. The probability of postseason is gone but consider playing in the FCIAC against no schools your size and managing six wins, a winning season. Fox would probably tell you that it could have been better but to lose to Darien and New Canaan, well, look what those two teams have done to everybody else they have faced. The St. Joe’s game was disappointing for the Crusaders, but the Cadets were playing their best ball of the year at the time and sometimes it’s not who you play but when you play them. Stamford was a classic rivalry game that just didn’t go their way in the end. I have not been able to attend any Trinity games, but I just feel
the need to give some credit to coach Bryan Fox for a winning season. Copyright © 2008, The Hour Publishing Co.
