Darien 39 - Trinity 6

STAMFORD — James Patton scored two touchdowns to lead Darien over Trinity Catholic. The Crusaders (0-1) got on the board first when Nick Cortese scored on a 46-yard run. But Patton's two touchdowns, on runs of 1 and 5 yards, and Nikki Dysenchuck's 10-yard scoring run gave Darien (1-0) a 22-6 halftime lead.

 

Ryan MacDonald and Brian Kosnick added second half touchdowns and John Gardner kicked a 35-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to close out the scoring for the Blue Wave.
