March 7, 2006Macari Honored by National Football FoundationSenior Captain Dave Macari will be honored by the National Football Foundation at the Scholar-Athlete Dinner. The Fairfield County Ralph DeSantis Chapter of the NFF will host the dinner honoring Macari and other football players from Southern Connecticut for achievements in the classroom as well as on the playing field. "This award is one that best represents what the Trinity Catholic Football Team is most proud of," responded Head Coach Bryan Fox. "The ability of our players to achieve academic excellence in addition to being successful on the football field is something we hold in the highest regard. As a Captain of our team, Dave's leadership both on and off the field is what makes us proud that he is an alumnus of Trinity Catholic's football program. Past winners of this award include Joey Fiorito and Fitz Angrand.
